AXIWI is also supplying the communication sets for the blind and visually impaired during the Mentelity Games in Saas-Grund in 2025. This way, the participants will be able to get down the mountain safely in Switzerland again this year. A great partnership. 

Already for the third year we get to use the AXIWI Sets again! Blind and visually impaired people who go along with the Mentelity Games all get an individual facilitator during the lessons. They are in contact with each other through AXIWI's communication systems. Through directions and tips, participants thus make it safely down the mountain with the help of the volunteers and the sets.

Pieter (volunteer) and Annemiek (participant) already have the necessary experience in the snow. Pieter: "As a ski instructor and companion of visually impaired winter athletes, I have been using the AXIWI for years. With the AXIWI communication system, the one-on-one guidance goes smoothly and quickly," he says. "You understand each other better which also allows both the participant and the guide to react faster. This increases safety, which is of course very important during winter sports activities with blind and visually impaired people. The sound quality is very good and the range is also good. The devices are small and easy to operate."

Annemiek is also satisfied with AXIWI: "I myself am severely visually impaired and I use the AXIWI to communicate better during winter sports and horseback riding. During winter sports it is of course super important to understand and follow the instructions of my guide or teacher properly. The AXIWI system makes me feel more confident and safe on the slopes. Previously, the instructor would give verbal instructions without a communication system so it sometimes happened that you didn't understand him or her. This, of course, could create unsafe situations. The instructions through the AXIWI are clear to understand, little wind noise and the battery lasts a long time."
