During the summer kick-off on July 31 at the Bibian Mentel Playground, we will usher in the summer with food trucks, a DJ and a wheelchair clinic!

In 2020, Bibian Mentel developed in collaboration

In 2020, Bibian Mentel developed the Re-abled program in collaboration with orthopedic instrument maker Frank Jol: through better guidance and the right prosthetics, we help anyone with a physical challenge get the most out of themselves and dreams come true. The Re-abled program is needed because in the Netherlands thousands of physically challenged children and young adults are sitting at home due to low expectations and poor prosthetics. Sunday, September 8, our SUP Event is scheduled!☀️ Will you also come to have fun and glide across the water at Ottenhome? We'll make sure everyone gets moving, with or without a physical challenge. The two wakeboarding clinics are over! Boundaries were pushed and above all we had a lot of fun.🤩 Before we wave goodbye to summer, we are organizing a SUP event on Sunday, September 8! Will you be there too? Everyone - with or without a physical challenge - is welcome. Work on your balance-skills and challenge your friends or family. Afterwards you can enjoy a barbecue and we'll toast to a beautiful summer and active fall! More info about the SUP event can be found in the link in bio.

🌞In The Spotlight: Jozefien van Son. "Continuing Bibian's legacy and her Foundation is what drives me and I am grateful to be able to contribute to this cause every day." Jozefien has an important role within the foundation and has been involved since its inception in 2010. "As a good friend of Bibian and right hand of Edwin, I know like no other how Bibian was in life, which mission she has with the Foundation and how I can let her positive legacy live on. Ten years ago, I stepped into Edwin's commercial company. There I also met Bibian; she had just started the foundation and held offices in the same building. When Edwin decided to quit his limited companies and dedicate himself fully to the Bibian Mentel Foundation, Edwin & Bibian asked me to join them. Me? In a sports environment for kids with physical challenges? Let's go!A special friendship developed and the three of us set up many programs and projects. After working for myself for several years, Edwin called me and said, ''Joos, I think it's time to come back.'' I have been back on board since 2021 and to continue her dream together with a team of six is very cool! I feel more than ever how important it is that we fight for equal rights for everyone with physical challenges. And Bibian.... She is surely looking over our shoulders and is just as happy as Edwin and I that we are working together again."

RECAP Summer Kick-Off💜 Last Wednesday we celebrated the sporty summer at the Bibian Mentel Playground in Loosdrecht! There was racing on the pumptrack with BMX bikes, wheelchairs, longboards and scooters, food trucks provided tasty snacks and the DJ played summery beats☀️ Let the summer last! 🛹Would you also like to get moving this summer? On September 8 we will organize our SUP event on the Loosdrechtse Plassen! Push your limits on the water, and end the day with a nice barbecue. More info via the link in bio.

On Aug. 21, our second wakeboard clinic g

On Aug. 21 our second wakeboard clinic is scheduled at Down Under in Nieuwegein. The first clinic last week was a great success and there are still a few spots available for the 21st!🌊 During this day we will teach you wakeboarding on the practice course or you can slide across the water independently on the big course. It is an ideal day out for families and groups of friends. On the day itself we provide the appropriate equipment for everyone, physically challenged or not. Together we make sure everyone gets moving during the wakeboard clinic!Check the link in bio for more info and tickets.

She firmly believed that the moment you do that, you are going to become good at it. Then you will become the best version of yourself, Bbian said. Will you be there on July 31?💥🛹 Everyone, with or without a physical challenge, is welcome to join us for the SUMMER KICK-OFF at the Bibian Mentel Playground. On this day we bring children and youth together to literally and figuratively get moving.Come cross through the pumptrack on either a skateboard, scooter or a bmx. There will also be a wheelchair skills clinic and food trucks + a DJ for live music! MEET BRITT 💜 Last Saturday was the Mentelit

MEET BRITT 💜 Last Saturday was the Mentelity Beach Day: a day of pushing boundaries and having fun. Our new Re-abled participant Britt was there too! 'I haven't done surfing before and didn't expect to enjoy it so much! Being carried along by the waves gave me a piece of freedom.' Next year, Britt has a special goal in mind: to participate in Amsterdam's HYROX 2025. 'I had had the idea of competing for HYROX for a while and a week later I had an appointment with Frank Jol for my daily prosthesis. When I told Frank about my goal everything changed: I became part of the Re-abled program, got a custom prosthesis to achieve my goal and received guidance within the Re-abled team.' With this goal in mind, she not only wants to help herself, but is also committed to the Re-abled program where she inspires other people with her willpower. 'You can still do anything with the right mindset!'
